Ia Drang Valley Opening Moves Battle Map

The Battle of Ia Drang Valley was the first major engagement between the United States and North Vietnam. This digital map covers the opening moves of the battle in October 1965. Note the part of Ia Drang battle covered in the book and movie We Were Soldiers is not shown on this map, as that part of the battle happened a few weeks after the moves shown on this map occurred.
